Re: New Game Early Era - Glory of The Gods - Started
Please make sure you give at least 12 hours notice if you need an extension.
I just received a pm from manuk for an extension on someone's behalf. However this pm was sent at 2pm my time which was a few hours after the turn processed, and also was a time during which I was at work so could not do anything about it anyway.
I am on GMT -8 and work a full time job. Currently the turns host automatically when everyone played or at 10 am PST (which is 6pm GMT).

Increasing the turnaround time?
This game has moved very fast and I like the 24hr quickhost for the first 20 - 30 turns. However when you enter the midgame, have a large empire, access to alot of spells etc...24hr quickhost is too, well, quick...it gets very tiresome having to do a turn every day no matter what.
So how would everyone feel if I asked Strages Sanctus/Manuk to move to a 48hr quickhost from turn 31? I believe a 48hr quickhost would result in a better endgame with no complaints from anyone over lack of time, rushed turns etc...
Who would be in favour? Who would be against?

Re: Increasing the turnaround time?
I'm ambivalent. I like the 24 hour turns, but certainly have no objection to moving to 48 if that makes for a better experience for several people.

Re: Increasing the turnaround time?
I'm in several games and would be happy to move to a 48 hr quickhost. We could compromise on 36 hrs? That way, unless you're last, you can generally skip a day if you have to.

Re: Increasing the turnaround time?
I think extending the deadline is a good idea at some point, but currently I find 24h to be enough for this game.
If people need more time that's fine.

Re: Increasing the turnaround time?
24 hours is fine for me right now. I think the first person to declare they need more time should trigger the increase in host time, not some arbitrary turn. But please don't be afraid to ask for a host increase time!
Apparently in another game there was a person whose empire got really big and I guess was too embarrased to ask for a host time increase and couldn't do his turns on time. But he never piped up about it so everyone assumed all others were doing fine.
So speak up if you need the time!
