Macah, I don't doubt your story, but I'd be surprised if most software pirates buy games, especially games that have a pretty functional demo, like dom3.

Pirating a good game does get the word out, but it's mainly to other thieves, not the gaming community at large. Anyway, I bet the developers would rather have the money than that publicity.
