Re: How to bless the Ghoul Guardians?
Same problem for Sauromatia : the (sacred) ancestral spirits cannot benefit from a bless either...
cheers

Re: How to bless the Ghoul Guardians?
Crap... I was just about to send my Black Priest along with my Guardians. Looks like I'll have to make a Mound Fiend instead (which won't be for a while)

Re: How to bless the Ghoul Guardians?
Yeah, I misunderstood how the bless got determined. So it's just holy/unholy by nation?
That's even worse than I thought. Maybe it should be by undead status of the priest doing the blessing? (Does this mean that undead priests of most nations (say Mound Kings) can't bless themselves?)
It would seem better to me to just have one type of bless. Black Templars and Ghoul Guardians are both sacred to the same pretender, why would his priests not be able to bless both?
And how do sacred demons fit in? They come under holy bless right? But need undead leadership?

Re: How to bless the Ghoul Guardians?
I am playing MA Ermor and I can use my Thurmaturgs/Grand Thurmaturgs to cast Divine Blessing and Unholy Blessing in the same battle. So I can have unholy blessed shadow vestals and divine blessed lictors fighting side by side.

Re: How to bless the Ghoul Guardians?
I've done a test and it seems meglobob is right, it works even with devine bless firstcast. I tested with the Level 3 'global' forms.

I have a game right now where I can demonstrate it IS working. Isn't Dom 3 fun!
Although to be fair I think I am casting unholy bless first then the divine bless. I think shadow vestels are better than lictors.

Basically, the only real solution is to make undead sacred troops blessable by normal bless spells - the current situation is crap.

* Version 3.01
* Blessing can affect sacred undead.
It's been fixed, at least partially, at least once. It has either broken again or something was missed. I have seen threads about this issue, but I still don't know what, exactly, is bugged. Are there any spells which can always be used to bless both undead and non-undead sacreds? Is it dependant on whether or not the casting priest has been blessed already? Do some spell work only on spesific conditions?

Re: How to bless the Ghoul Guardians?
Unholy Bless works only on undead
Bless works only on non-undead
Unholy bless is an ermor national spells. I think noone else can cast it.
Thats how it works in moment. If this isn't intended its an unsolved bug.
