in older Versions of se4, it was possible to use modded data files to enter illegal designs into your queue. depending on the type of design, and what was wrong with it, sometimes they would not be recognized by the game host and deleted from the queue when the turn is processed.

there is also a line in the facility or settings file that states '# of pop required per facility.'
That feature is known to not be implemented yet.

if you are over the wp won't be built until your current number is reduced, I believe wp's are counted as units.
That limit is on units in space, which WPs never are. It's possible to build mines and satellites and not be able to launch them until you destroy some of the older ones.

cap, are you sure, i know thats what it says in the manual, but i've had it where once limit for units was reached it wouldn't let me build any wp's. as soon as I destroyed some mines or sats, I was able to build, the wp's just stayed in the build que but they wouldn't build,

at least that was the way it was in earlier Versions 1.35 etc. really haven't paid it much attenion with 1.49, I just figured it was the same as before. have to ck it out tks

just some ideas mac

Well there are definately no limits on units reached as it is very early in the gaame. The planet is blockaded though. Does this reduce the available resources below what is shown in the eempire status window? Or is it simply not possible to build on a blockaded planet which is what I suspect.

Mmmm not sure about this. But is a Space port required? I know you can build WP's in a new system that does not yet have a space port.

Space ports are only require to get resources in, not to build.

Well, to be honest, not absolutely. I'm just repeating things I remember from older threads on these Boards. I've never run into either the unit or ship limit in any game I've played.

But is a Space port required?
If an empire's only homeworld is blockaded, the resource production drops to the minimum of 500 per turn of each resource. I think losing the spaceport would do the same thing. It might also drop the available storage capacity to the starting level of 50000, but I'm not sure about that. But if it's not building the WP due to insufficient resources, he should still be getting some log message about it.
