OT: Daylight Saving Time and Computer Clock
In North America, daylight saving time is going to start tomorrow morning with 2:00 am becoming 3:00 am. Question: how do you get Windows to change the time at this new date, and stop it from automatically changing the time again at the old date in April? Is there some setting we can adjust so that we don't have to manually change the clock each time? |

Re: OT: Daylight Saving Time and Computer Clock
There are also some free updates for pre-XP versions of Windows. Googling will probably find them. The easiest solution is to just change your settings to NOT automatically change the time for daylight savings. Then your computer is just one more clock to update manually. |

Re: OT: Daylight Saving Time and Computer Clock
In my opinion, it's bloody stupid having DST early this year. Supposedly it'll save energy...but is there really any reason to believe this, or is it just another thing to appease the public who freaks out about energy consumption/"global warming"??
