OT: iTunes

Wasnt able to find any info about it, hope u guys can help me.

I know you can pay and download various stuff (-> Battlestar Galactica season 03 episodes) to your iTunes.

Now, im from germany and i have absolutly no I-pod or anything. Is it possible for me to download itunes and watch the episodes i buy over my pc or does it only work if you have an ipod ? In addition, can you pay via paypal ?

Yes and No.

You need an IPod to really benefit from the service.

I have been told that you can download songs then burn them to CD then rip the CD to convert them to MP3. But I don't know how true that is.

What episodes of BSG S03 do you want to see?

Yes, you can play the videos inside of iTunes on your PC. I just tested one of their freebie episodes, and it also works in Quicktime. The quality isn't so great, since it is meant mainly for the smaller ipod screens, but it's still fairly decent. About on par with TV rips that you can find on the torrent sites.

As for payment methods, I'm not sure for iTMS Germany. The US version of iTMS takes major credit cards + PayPal, so I would assume they would also take PayPal in Germany.

I don't think you will be able to download US shows unfortunately. I was advised to look into Itunes to watch BSG, so I signed up for Itunes. It seems only US members can download US shows. Other countries, such as Australia in my case, get shunted to their countries Itunes and Australia doesn't have shows on offer. You might be lucky if German Itunes has German tv shows.

German program that converts MP4 to anything you need: Jakpod: MP4 converter

If you can't read German its not hard to figure out how to download and use it. Great way to get my itune stuff loaded on a standard mp3 player or watch on windows media player, etc.
