Re: EA R\'Lyeh:advice and screenies
It's the armor that gives the air shield, can't recall the name offhand (silver hauberk?). And I did make a ton of supply items in this game as I made the largest non-LA Ermor Army I have ever tried. The main reason I have so many slave priests is simply to carry all those supply items! Several Lobo Guards died so that is why it's using -103 supplies right now.

Re: EA R\'Lyeh:advice and screenies
Question. Slightly off-topic. How do you fight a well-played EA R'lyeh nation underwater with, say, Atlantis? My opponent has a vast invading army of mind blasters. I have good troops, but they cannot even get into the battle. They are all paralyzed and blasted to smithereens before either side can even engage.
We're talking about a few hundred mind blasters... Aboleths, Mind Lords, gibodai, giboleths, with a fronting army of several hundred chaff. Atlantis has some very good evokers, but that does me little good underwater. I tried using Anti-Magic on my whole army, but they were still slaughtered.

Re: EA R\'Lyeh:advice and screenies
Well you are facing a strong underwater only army of probably atleast 6000+ gold so will probably need atleast a similar costed force to tackle it.
Definitely dont use deep ones due to their abysmal MR. Vast hordes of atlantian spearmen and war shamblers backed by antimagic would probably be your best bet. Other low resource indies could also fill out your ranks.
One possible(but untested) way would be a MR focused basalt king out in front to soak up mind blast hits(they should target him due to high health/large side/closeness)and maybe do some damage too - Just let the king buff with earthpower, iron will and X skin and fireshield(also phoenix pyre if you have it).
You can(hopefully) see an example of this below or in the attachment.
edit: OK, im pretty sure i messed that up, can people see the picture?

Hmm. Thanks Shovah. I may try your untested Basalt King method. But in the extreme I think... with say 5 B-Kings such equipped and out in front. Wish I had taken a bless now.

Re: EA R\'Lyeh:advice and screenies
Still off topic: Blessed basalt kings are great. E9N4-8(and possibly some astral or water) gives you affliction avoidance and good reinvigoration for the ultimate basalt bomb of doom - which consists of atleast one basalt king with E9 bless, summon earthpower and multiple reinvigoration items(boots of the messenger, amulet of resilence, maybe girdle of might) and other normal thug/SC equipment to give decent survivability and offensive power - charging into the enemy ranks and either killing everyone or killing some guys, dying(and killing many enemies in the resulting explosion) and then coming back and killing more .
Also, ive just noticed phoenix pyre is an underwater no-no so ignore the suggestion of it in my last post.
If you are going with basalt kings to soak up mind blasts dont forget to take other troops. Despite quickened basalt kings with firebrands killing around 6 units per turn they are expensive and will probably need support to defeat the large army you mentioned. As I said their large size, high cost, high health and proximity to the enemy should get them targeted unless you use flyers.

Re: EA R\'Lyeh:advice and screenies
Sorry about taking over your thread Salamander. I will move this out to a main post.
And thanks again Shovah. I will of course move many troops with the Kings. They are too expensive to throw out their on their own.
