New Race Idea

I want to take an opinion poll on wether or not I should make a new race based upon the Planet Of The Apes. Afterall, sooner or later the monkies are gonna learn how to fly in space.

Should I or shouldn't I?

Personally, I couldn't stand Planet of the Apes, either the original or the new one with Mark 'Dirk Diggler' Wahlberg in it.

Still, a simian race would be a top idea? I have always thought something like this would be groovy, especially if you joined in dolphins a la David Brin's uplift series

Hmm, as much as I hate to admit it, I agree with GrowlTigga. Go Ape.
I hope he ment it would be cool to hae a Dolphin based race with the ships slightly outlined like dolphins. Not hat Teran ships are outlined like Terans.

Gryphin, I meant that I would like to see some of the Galactic Races from the David Brin 'Uplift' series of novels. If you have not read them, they are excellent IMHO. The Soro, Jophur, GUbru and especially the Tandu are some of the nastiest peices of work in science fiction.

The reference to dolphins was that the Terrans had genetically modified chimpanzees and dolphins to sapiency. Chimps and dolphins crewed terran starships so any race profile of the terrans would need to incorporate images of all three races.

No, I was thinking Ms. Piggy, Gonzo dressed as vader, and all of the rest of pigs in space skits form the old muppet shows.

Has anyone ever set up an empire/race based on the Nanites in Star Trek? Might be interesting to see how that would work. Probably would need a mod that added Nanotechnology as a special ability. Nano weapons might be so small as to bypass armor and shields, like null space, or maybe just bypass armor.
