Nethgul+Crystal Matrix: Can Nethgul Be Trusted?

Before Communion Slave was up: Soul Slay & Mind Burn.
After Communion Slave was up: Mind Burns, Horror Mark & Body Ethereal. Nethgul also had 2 castings in a row each round, except immediately after this blink occurred it shows him only casting 1 Mind Burn.

Single target spells will affect all members of a communion. Blink is single target, I believe.

I think single target spells only normally affect the caster and all the communion slaves, but not the other masters.

The Nethgul should definitely not be casting blink... since this spell can easily kill the wielder of the Nethgul, sounds like a bug or bad coding.

well, he does cast horror mark on the wielder from time to time, which can also be a large problem, so I actually have to be inclined more towards WAD. He's an ancient starspawn in a bottle - of course he's a little nuts.

Why the hell should he not cast it? There was already a thread about Nethgul and IIRC somebody (KO?) said that his grimoire is fairly limited, only half a dozen spells or so. I think Blink was on that list, even though what he casts is more or less random. He's nothing more than a fancy gimmick.

That's also why I had my enchantresses cast earth power. But why would Nethgul, or any mage, cast an unscripted blink, especially when they have Range:100 spells? I'm guessing this is just some fluke for combining Nethgul with a Crystal Matrix and is not typical of communes or astral mages, unlike Touch of Madness with nature mages.

Nethgul isn't a mage. He's a brain in a jar. I've noticed his spell casting to be extremely random.
