Range Check Error

Since you haven't modded anything, you might want to try renaming the gold folder and reinstalling it, then moving over the save and try running it.

What OS are you using?

You can try sending the saved game in to MM and tell them about the problem.

I have gotten an ERROR when building ships (when I am updating ships myself) and have toooooo many componets, how ever I clear out some and I can continue on

I am using XP. Ill load the saved game, and then I will end a turn. as soon as it gets to my next turn I will end it and then i get an error that says "Range Check Error." And the game locks up.
I reloaded the game and opened the saved game and it is still happening at the same point.

what race's turn does it happen during or does it happen right away. If it happens during a specific race's turn. Try taking over control of that race and seeing what is causing the error exactly when it occurs.

It does happen during a specific races turn, I took control of that races and i got past the error, but as soon as I relinquished control and ended my turn the error happened again.

Try retaining control as you end turn.

Then if it works, go back, and turn on one AI minister, and maintain control as you end turn.

Eventually you will find the minister that is causing the problem.
