Re: Who is your favorite indy mage?
I was really hoping to be able to recruit some blood mages. Playing Oni, I hoped to cast that demon strengthening spell in addition to strength of giants.

Wizards indeed. Lots of magic paths, and incredible research. And you get that Wizard Knight.

Re: Who is your favorite indy mage?
Anyone who has paths my nation doesn't have. It's really variable.
The Garnet amazons are enough to bootstrap any nation into blood. Anyone with good randoms is great.
If my nation lacks nature, I'll often put some on the pretender so he can make thistle maces and use the crummy little shamans to start searching.

Re: Who is your favorite indy mage?
All like said Thejeff.
Ah, one difference : never have I seen an indep mage with a blood pick on it ( apart from radom ones ) so when I want blood, I take it on my pretender.

Re: Who is your favorite indy mage?
The only indy mages with blood are Conjurer, Circle Master (Black Tower), Garnet Amazons, Sorcerer (Ebony Tower) and Bloodhenge Druid.

Re: Who is your favorite indy mage?
Recruitable blood mage sites are also very uncommon. I always play 75% sites and very seldom get one.

Re: Who is your favorite indy mage?
Lore masters are pretty good for magic diversity to. Plus with 3 full random picks you can bootstrap a blood economy pretty soon as about 1/3 will have a blood pick.
