Balance Mod users note that there may be a small issue running v1.14 with SE5 v1.71. I'll have a small patch later today to ensure complete compatibility.

I tried installing the patch and it hung up. Tried again and it failed. Re-downloaded the patch from a different location, reinstalled SEV and the patch won't run and gives an error about the wrong version of SEV installed. Anyone know the fix to this?

Try patching to 1.66 THEN 1.71 |

After reinstalling, did you run SE5 once before running the patcher? It gets the location info from the registry, and lacks any easy method of choosing a folder yourself.. :-\

Fixed. Had to delete the SEV directory entirely then reinstall then patch.
