Bah! Isn't he the disease spreading immortal one? I just can't find a use for him although he does have 2 death which TC lack otherwise. But really after a bit of site searching in empty provinces what can he be used for? Too weak to be much of a thug even with his magic. No stealth so can't be used as an assassin/disease spreader to your enemies. Nice magic but not that nice - he's no better than your average Celestial master.
Do you build him his own personnal lab and have him forge/ research in peace? |

Hey guys, server should be up at ip 74.236.0.134. Port 1024.
I've never hosted an mp like this before.. sooo let me know if there are any issues.
Oh, and update to 3.17 while you're at it.

I have just connected to the new server, and everything seems ok. Apart from me having a lot worse start position than last time :-(
I used the following settings to connect :
IP address of the server - 74.236.0.134
Port number of the server - 1024
Chrispedersen - Thanks for setting this up so quickly.
Ich - Hope those server Gremlins get busted soon.

This is strange.... I have seen that 3 people have connected. Does anyone have an explanation for why the others cant?

The IANA lists that port as "Reserved":

But of course MicroSoft seems to be abusing it for various services: http://www.grc.com/port_1024.htm
It might be that ISP's are blocking connections to that port on purpose to hold back worms which are trying to infect other systems. |
