Deep inside the caverns in the land of Dawn (of Dominions) I found the fearsome indy commander Gore Jaw together with his retinue of ghouls.

Ran the troglodyte promptly squished him.

I wonder what's the story behind that tough ghoul. How many adventurers died from his hand, adding to his gear and fame?

This gives me an idea...what if certain indy commanders had a sort of immortality, linked to a particular province? So that, should the province ever come back under indy control, the immortal indy would rise again to lead those forces?

I think Gore Jaw is what is left of the great Ulmish general, Helmut Schroeder. It would be cool if there was a little story in his description that alluded to the foul (and terrifyingly powerful) entity who left him in that undead state. Maybe link him to a magic site of some particular interest.

I think Gore Jaw is the undead remnants of the guy who used to be the next president of the United States. Global warming negatively affects undead chill auras after all...
