Well, a unit for Man that boosts Magic scale..... AND Death scale..... That might be able to be worked in with the curse somehow, in a thematic way that I don't understand, since Man is such a mystery.

But basically looking at it as if you had used your points from Drain to get Growth, you could boost your researchers while only losing the Growth in 1 province.
