I didn't add all of the different sizes for the torpedoes...I added a medium one for the general ship torpedoes and the small one for fighter launched torpedoes. I wanted to try a few of the different beams out (the rings around the beams look fun) but I haven't had much time to do so. I just finished with exams and stuff and now looking for a job...

I guess you go to Waterloo?

Those sets of weapon animations were intended to be used for each tech level of a weapon, but of course, any use is a good use
The helix cannons images are very cool, but I could have really used another pixel of usable height on the beams.

I'm not sure what those ring beams can be called, aside from "Ring Beams"
They were originally for phased polaron beams. The rings sort of hint at opening a hole in the shields to shoot through... quite a stretch, I know.

The things that turned out worst have to be the null space beams, and the APB beams.
I wanted the null space beam to look like a sort of "negative brightness" beam, but instead it looks more like two dim parallel beams.
Those APBs just don't have enough to distinguish each level.

And, yep I go to Waterloo. You had almost a 50/50 chance to guess on that one

When I get some more free time, I'll go through the beams and see if I can help clear up any problems or make a few new ones.

Although the imagemod submission thread has fallen into the wasteland of old threads, new submissions are always welcome.

On those APBs, I was hoping for a sparkly beam type of weapon; interstellar dust and whatnot flashing as it bumps into the beam. That type of thing.
As you can see, the sparkles didn't pan out for me.

I have all sorts of neat filters and crap with Photoshop...I'll see if I can get those space dust sparkles sparkling.

The hardest part is cramming them into a 8x5 or so window.

Refer to the test pattern I made, (red & green boxy shape dots)
The red boxed area appears at the tip of the beam, while the green boxed area gets tiled to form the body.
Black pixels are not drawn, so if your tip is wider then the beam, you may find it appears to tile as well. Fill out the beam zone with almost-black to fix that.
