Yeah, it would be a pity if David Gervais designed all his avatars too big and they suddenly disappeared off the forum!

Actually I have raised the allowed size from the 48x48 to what is stated above, 80x80. So it's only those people who have images larger than that who have a problem. Right now this system auto resizes them down, but in the new system, it simply won't allow you to break the limit (import/link fails) instead of resizing them which is really how it SHOULD work anyway. Some of the files are almost 100k because people have uploaded huge pictures as their avatars. We're probably going to have to put a file size limit as well, but it will be a generous limit that won't affect that many people....just the ones that are outrageous.
