How do you find out where the 'Home Province' for a Commander is?
For a regular unit, that info is displayed at the top of their stat/info screen, but for a Commander that same info isn't displayed. Is it hiding somewhere else which I haven't noticed, or is it just not available?

Reason I ask is that in a game I'm playing I've got a wandering site searching Naiad which I summoned, but I can't remember where I summoned her to send her home to recover.

				 Re: Question about Home Province.
My information says that there's no good way to know a commander's home province. It's apparently one of the more irritating features of the User Interface. It would be great if there were a screen that displayed recent force aquisitions, like from the past 3 turns, and where they're currently stationed, but that magic screen so far only lives inside Johan's brain, and he's not letting it out until he's good and ready.

Hope this helps.

She'll almost definitely lose the most valuable of her slots and that's really bad.The real answer is: always remember what you're doing and always save the turn you're submitting.

Is it an MP game? If so do you have any of your old files tucked away to find out where she came from? |

				 Re: Question about Home Province.
 Thanks for all the replies.
Find it slightly annoying that a commander's home province isn't displayed anywhere. Since it's not exactly info that should be kept secret is it? Guess I'll have to get used to using some tactical re-naming from now on.

Not too concerned about the Naiad in question. She's had a good run, and found a few nice sites, so no complaints :-) Wonder if I'll get a message when she dies? Would try my luck at transforming her, but haven't got the research done for that spell yet. And sadly it's a server game, so no useful past turn files to trace her place of birth/creation. (think that's a definite place where PBEM games get one up on server games. Although that shouldn't be seen as a trigger to start a debate on the subject!)

As for the server game, there's really no problem in saving your turns to another folder just before submitting. I always did so when I played server game. However, I also like PBEM much more . |
