Are there specific people who have General rank or above, but with fewer Posts than you?
And, like Q said, I went from Lt. Colonel down to 1st Lieutenant - a 3-rank demotion! I figured it was because I stopped posting for a few weeks because my job was taking too much time...

Re: Forum Rankings
I have been cruising this site for awhile and I wasn't a registerd member for the longest time. Anyway I was just wondering how you got promoted in the first place. Is it through Posts or ratinfgs from other members? Are the Posts based on frequency per day/week/month or just a total. I just never asked because it didn't matter to me I just liked surfing this site. Any light shed on the subject would be nice.

Re: Forum Rankings
Ranks are based on number of Posts.
Funny thing is that I am a Corporal here, a real life Staff Sergeant in the USMC, and in less than a week, a 2nd Lieutenant in the USMC...

Richard:
Is the rank/# of Posts ratio declassified for public consumption?

Re: Forum Rankings
Good question. Answer: Whenever the Corps tells me. Longer answer: we haven't gotten orders for TBS yet, but are expecting them this week. Regardless, I get commissioned on Monday.
Went to Boot Camp in '89 myself. Looking forward to being one of the oldest 2nd Lt's around
