Shroud of the Battle Saint and unit upkeep?
If I put the shroud onto an expensive mage, do I halve it's upkeep?

The Shroud doesn't make your mage sacred, it just gives that mage the effects of your sacred bonus.

Does that mean that Ark + shroud doesn't protect the Ark-bearer? I thought I remembered otherwise.

I like to combine the shroud with a death blessing. It makes the Illithid mind blast even better. But just about any race could use this tactic to great advantage.

Yes, i tested this one some time ago and the shroud definitly doesn't protect the ark bearer! |
