But the reinforcements will be considered in the "force broken" calculations totals. Once they arrive on map if the AI is utterly broken then the game will be ended even with these few fresh guys sitting in OK status near the base line. If the AI rout status is borderline, then it will fight on until that changes.

I always plan on the AI getting reinforcments, just in case. Better safe than sorry. It just didn't occur to me in this case. I'm not sure why I actually saw them arriving in the first place. Visibility was 18 and being a delay, I was way over on my side of the map. I saw the reinforcements charge in anyhow. They were a good 50 hexes away when I saw them. A bug?

I have never seen the AI reinforcements in hundreds of battles in reduced visibility unless I had eyes-on to the enemy arrival, so you either had someone over there (including air strikes), or there was a bug, or you are mixing up the review map at end-game (when all enemy are visible). Do you have a save from well before they arrived?.

Nope, no save. I run three saves of my game, start, current and end. It just occurred to me that it seemed odd that I saw them coming on to the board, so I didn't save it at the time. My units were all to the left of the column 40 hex line. These units, which I took for reinforcements (they could have just been units that grew a spine just before leaving), were around hex column 95 when I saw them. I'm sure visibility was 18 because I have six truck mounted 88s that didn't fire a shot because I felt they would be too vulnerable to machine gun fire. They spent the whole battle hiding and ducking incoming mail.

What about just seeing units that are beyond the visibility range? I have another game going and just saw a mortar at a distance of about 22 hexes. Visibility is 9, but it's sitting on a hill, proud as can be. None of my units have been any closer than 22 hexes. Not sure it's even fired yet because it's oriented straight ahead. No smoke plume over the hex. I do know there is a location that did take mortar fire 38 hexes directly in front of it. It was a lovely sight to see British mortar fire pounding their own entrenchments. Warms the heart, it does
I do have a save file on this one.
