Huuh ?? IMHO if a graphic set is released on the web players can use it at leisure *as long as* they use it unmodified and in its original package - ie I can use Atrocities' Trek race sets for my PBW races but should ask him if a I want to mix some of his ships with other graphics to make a "new" shipset or use say the ship bmps as components in a mod... |

Thanks, Since for my home use I have changed the Race Portait I need to clear it with the creator first.

As for my question sounding strange, well, I have a very impulsive nature and am trying to be much more careful.

IMHO you can do what you want with these graphic FOR PRIVATE USE, i.e. at home or in your PBW game. However, you cannot distribute these pictures as your own or mix them up in a new way and distribute that.

I didn't mean any offence when replying, the "uuh"" was rather to express that I don't see why we should ask authorization to use published shipsets...
Neither do you have to ask anything if you tinker *privateky* with the graphics (this includes PBW) ! Only if you want to make modified sets public ...
