I am hoping this doesn’t seem like a silly question; once I figure out how to change the guns from cmg to aamg and I start playing email games, will that not show up with the other guy that I am playing against has something wrong?

Of course it will, in a secure PBEM - since it is now an altered OOB.

If you want to PBEM with edited OOBS, then exchange the OOB(S ) with your opponent before starting the secure PBEM game as explained in the Game Guide. And you may want to use the OOB swap facility to create a sub-folder with your edited OOB(s) to swap in and out with the official OOB set, again as described in the G/G (Game Installation / manage OOB sets).

Thanks for your help, the changing of the guns wasn't as easy as first thought.

I changed them to the AA guns but in the encyclopedia it still shows as cmg.

The mobhack looks like a good two or three hours of reading which I don't have time for in the summer time.

A small bit of advice would be appreciated.
