I'm imagining its probably not possible - but just wanted to check what it might entail to do so? (probably adding a code link to a dead dude png or something for a million units hehe)
Not possible/practical. Each & every one would use up a unit slot in the spare space (if any). Or more practically a new overlay space for corpses, and since a section could spawn 13 (19?) stiffs in that many separate places, a lot of storage space required, and a way larger save game file for .... what precisely?

One of the totally irritating things about the old "Arnhem" games by Microsoft back in the 90s (Close Combat?) - dead bodies all over the shop lying in puddles of bright red blood, with voices howling over and over "das blut!, das blut!" (or something like that). Gah!...

The great idea would be to add something like "casulties number" to hex! Just a number of casulties that occured in a hex.

A hex with huge casulties number would slow down units and make them more willing to suppressing.

This would be really realistic and add new info for viewing battles.

Out of curiosity, would it be possible to treat them as terrain features, in the same way as holes on the ground? Ie. a hex could attain terrain feature "Corpses" if certain events take place in it.

That said, since the majority of the infantry casualties represent wounded men that would usually be evacuated to the rear, most of the casualties that take place in the game should not result in corpses being left lying in the ground.
