Master Computer bug?

Yes this is a common occurance. If there's no MC the alliegence subverter works. That seems to be the way most people want it.

The screams of:

"BUG" "FEATURE"
"ILLOGICAL" "BELIEVEABLE"
"MAKES MC USELESS" "MAKES SUBVERTER USELESS"
"EVERY THING MUST HAVE A COUNTER" "NO IT SHOULDN'T"

soon fill any thread started on this subject

I kinda think it's illogical, and I think the MC is balanced enough because it can really bankrupt you on maintenance, but I dunno, againt the AI just a few MC ships really turn the tide.

Sorry Geoschmo but for me this is a feature not a bug because I am convinced MM wanted it to be this way. If even a destroyed master computer would protect a ship against allegiance subverter, would you still choose the psychic trait for 1500 racial points??
I wouldn't.

If you really can't tolerate that your super starbases are converted, give the hull a master computer ability! Then it can't be destroyed and will be completely protected from the allegiance subverter.

Ok yes, this ended up being the case. Virus then the Subverter did it's job. I just overlooked his designs too quick to realize he put a Virus on there. Thanks for the answers.

I sure would. But you are right, destroyed MC protecting a ship is really pulling the teeth out of a psychic race
