				 Does TCP/IP work now?
I'm sending off for gold tommorow and it just occured to me that TCP/IP is supposed to work now!
Does it? Is there a limit to players? Just 1 on 1 with some AI's or more??

 Thanks,

 Ken

I tried it once, and it took a little going to get moving but eventually it did work. It can be set up any way a normal game can.

				 Re: Does TCP/IP work now?
Ugh! Fyron and I tried desperatly to get it to work...but to no avail. I must admit it is a little complicated. I think the problem was that he had a firewall.
Would anyone without a firewall like to attempt to try a tcp/ip game with me...just send me an e-mail at capt-kwok@rogers.com . I'm curious to see if that was the problem or not.

Thanks! |

I don't know what we did to get it going. I know it was tough and took a few days to finally get it. But it's been so long that I forgot what exactly we did. Sorry man.Quote:

Your firewall has to pass ports 6716 and 6720 for tcp/ip tp be able to connect.

				 Re: Does TCP/IP work now?
Well, first of all, running IIRC:
-My firewall was NOT SE4's friend. I had to disable Zonealarm.
-The game must have a name, and BOTH players need the name, which *must* be typed identically. If it's not, it Will Not Work.
-the game host is automaticlly included in the game

those were the really obvious problems we had..
