				 OT - UltimateBB question
Is there any way to set it so that after posting a new topic or a reply to a topic it takes you back to the topic list instead of to your topic? It's kind of pointless to go back to a topic where the Last post is yours...

I disagree. It gives you a chance to read the unintelligent nonsense you just typed in and delete it before embarasing yourself. Not that it works in my case although .

				 Re: OT - UltimateBB question
Just get into the habit of holding down the left alt key and hitting the left cursor 4 times. (backbackbackback)
 Unless you've just posted an edit, in which case it's 4 times + (number of edits * 3), ie 4, 7, 10...

Using the link at the top of the page to get back to the forum is easier IMHO.

				 Re: OT - UltimateBB question
When I first enter the forum, I click on the most recent topic, then use the Previous link to go down the list until I hit a topic that hasn't had a new post.
After I post a reply, I use the browser's Back button to go to the topic before the one I replied to, then continue with the Previous link.

The only time I go back to the topics list is when the forums are busy enough that the Previous link gets scrambled and opens a thread that I've already read, or if I'm trying to locate a thread that hasn't had a recent post.

				 Re: OT - UltimateBB question

Well, sometimes you get a "simul-post" and you see someone else's reply along with yours... it's kinda handy in that case to be taken back to the same topic. Besides, sometimes I like to answer multiple postings in the same topic with multiple postings of my own, just to avoid confusion.Quote:

I've gotten in the habit of using the "Back" dropdown list to return to the topics thread; a little more mousing, but sometimes it's faster than multiple Alt-arrows...

				 Re: OT - UltimateBB question
I just hit the link at the top for the Space Empires IV thread. Any type of backing out and yo have to refresh to see who posted since the Last time you were there. Hitting the link above and you don't have to do that.

				 Re: OT - UltimateBB question
I can't stand the fact that all the Posts are listed in reverse order, so I have to click on the Last page and scroll down to the bottom-most post to see what the topic is even about. Any way to reverse the order when I view thing? |
