Essentially, as Don pointed out earlier: what is the primary question? Are you having an issue that can be called a bug or is the font(s) simply too small?
If you're dis-satisfied with the small font (actually a miracle of coding simplicity, efficiency and genius, considering what 640x480 tends to look like on modern resolutions
than I recommend the Windows magnifier utility. I've found this program useful because I have vision problems. Perhaps it's a bit of a pain in the *** though. At any rate, I suggest trying different resolutions. You might be shocked.
