No, but for some reason the designer did it that way. It wont be removed, since that could affect existing scenarios. (Perhaps there was meant to be a rifle grenadier inf-AT team, since the bazooka was basically a rocket motorised version of the existing anti-tank rifle grenade?)
There was a later model of the thing but the rocket remained basically the same, just details of loading and eye protection. See the end of this 1943 training film for details:
