I just read his Posts, seen his actions, and I vote to ban the poor fellow.

He sets a poor example for trekkies everywhere,

What that guy does not seem to understand is the people who destroy Star Trek Canon the most is Paramount. I really laughed when he posted his inappropriate disgust at Atrocitie's mods when he attacked him for being non-canon, when there really is no canon in Star Trek at all. Every new show, every new movie, contradicts something written in stone in a previous one. Individual ships are different from episode to epidose.

For him to actually go and waste his time destroying something that brings a once good and quality television show to Space Empires IV for a non-existant reason is pretty sad, and unexplicably vindictive.

What he would want in a Star Trek mod is for the Federation to have 100 different designs of vessels, undefeatable in battle, and with all other empires having only the 1 or 2 ships seen in the TV shows and movies who get their butts kicked every game. Every Star Trek game made required the developers to fill in the holes that Star Trek made (Birth of the Federation is one).

It would be impossible to create a game that follows the 'Star Trek Universe' (as he sees it), probably ManOfWar's universe, exactly because Space Empires IV can only replicate logical universes.

I say ban him from the planet!

What irks me is that he could not seem to grasp that most of us, if not all of us, are ST fans -- and have no issues with the shipsets. I've played Star Fleet Battles for 20 years, seen almost, if not every, ST episode from every series (including the cartoons -- yes, I am that old!) and he couldn't believe that I wasn't appalled at the idea that someone would produce "non-canon" (I guess meaning Paramount-approved) art for use in my favorite computer game. Then he goes and gets Atrocities website shut down, appears proud to have done so, and can't figure out why people are upset with him. As previously pointed out, ST has no canon that doesn't change with every new episode. I'm just glad I can use Klingons, Romulans, etc. in the game -- thanks to a ton of work by a dedicated member of the community.
