It only works in 90 degree angles. Spears are easy to redraw, as are swords, but axes are a bit more difficult. I suggest checking out other units with axes (battleaxes? Ea Agartha commanders, MA Ermor lictors, Ulmish and Abysian units).

I just drew my own axes. I think they look pretty good.

lol As if werwolves needed to be deadlier.

Good job. Though the pic is small, you can't tell by looking that the axes are hand drawn and not ingame graphics. Well, to me atleast.

Default Mage sprites!

Here's a helper for anyone doing mages:

In the attachment there's an image file in two formats, Gimp's xcf and Photoshop's psd. In the different layers of the image, there are: bearded and non-bearded head; the robe in normal and attack sprite position(as seen in picture), the hands/flesh/shadow in normal and attack sprite position. What does this mean? You can open either of those images in Gimp, adjust values of two layers (the ones containing the robes), and by changing which layers are visible you can get both an Apprentice and a Master form of a mage in the same robe. The staff is easy to edit out. In fact, the two staves might already be in their own layers, but I'm not quite sure.

The sprites are MA Agarthan Attendant of the Oracles with the staff and head of LA Agarthan Attendant of the Dead, while the "attack" sprite is the base sprite of Ktonian Necromancer of LA Agartha. I removed the skull from the staff and replaced the skull-crowned head with a less necromantic one.

Question - I can't figure out how to add/remove the transparency channel from .tga files in gimp.

It's not that big a deal but I'd like all of my images to be consistent, and when you create a new .tga file in gimp it has a transparency channel, whilest everyone else uses those black-background .tga files with no transparency channel.

Layer => Transparency => Add Alpha Channel

Image => Flatten Image
