Now that there's precedent, how about some other cool images for SE4 players http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

- Medallions/ribbons for # of PBW games played. Have "1", "5", and "10" game icons, which forum goers can mix & match and place in their sig like roman numerals...
- Tournament awards:
King of the Hill could use a hill/crown champion cup or medallion, plus an "Ex-King" icon.

This could be like the SE4 code, except in pictures!

I think adding it to signature is the way to go.

Dogscoff came up with this and I think I somewhat like it:

Crown 1: "I once was king". Silver Crown. Can be worn by anyone who appears on the list of previous kings.
Crown 2: "King of the hill". Gold Crown. Can be worn only by the current king.
Crown 3: "King of Kings". Little picture of Elvis. Can be worn only the person who currently holds the record for most consecutive games on the throne. Someone who is the current king and the king of kings gets an icon of Elvis wearing a gold crown...

Shock! Horror!

This thread actually had to be bumped!

David, do you remember the game Galaga? it had some icons on the side to mark the current level that did roughly what I was thinking of for the "PBW games played". They would also be used for Officer's experience markers on the Committee game.
Also any miscellaneous medals, medallions and ribbons you have (make them roughly half as wide as an avatar, depending on fanciness and value http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ) would be appreciated.

..Shock Horror?.. Well, not that bad,.. I just got Windows XP (early xmas gift) and have been busy making backups and all that prep work required before reformating/ re-partitionning/ installing XP. Now that that's done, I'll be busy for a bit with the re-installing of all those backups and software to get me back to where I was when this all started.

..So far everything is going smoothly. I'm already up to speed with my 'work' apps (Paint Shop, ArtGem, compiler, etc.) I of course reinstalled Dungeon Odyssey, next will be SE4, Homm4, MM9, D2:LoD, Emperor:Battle for Dune, SoF2 and Kyodai MahJongg. Then I'll be fully up to speed. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

One Strange thing, I have all of the following,.. Win 3.1, Win95, Win98, WinME, Win2000 Pro, and Now WinXP Home. The only one I ever had problems with is 2000 Pro. (even after installing both Service packs.) Now That, in my exp is a REAL piece of crap. I wasn't planning on buying XP, but like I said it was a gift. So far so good, I'm very pleased with XP, It has yet to implode, and with the amount of action it's been getting this past 30+ hours I'm sure it's going to be a keeper.

I use my Laptop for all my computing needs so it is just 15 inch LCD screen. Running at 1024X768. I can't stand 800X600. Everything is too big. 1600X1200 is just too dang small. My dad has a 20 inch flat screen viewsonic. It is an awesome monitor. He is running at 1600X1200.
Oh and with my Laptop, the LCD screen decommendation for my computer is 1600X1200. I say forget that. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Its it from the "Rifts" rpg (from palladium games)? Not like they have a monopoly on evil technological eyes, but the image in Geo's profile seems very similar to some of their artwork...

If you have performance problems, try going here (see edit below) they have some excellent suggestions to improve the performance of XP.

Actually i was drunk and did the best i could for lighting, and i just got that digitical cam for xmas, still learning how it works.

However forum on spaceempires.org where I post allows for slighly larger images so I can get away with such details.

Should check it out there some time, alot of Se roleplay, kinda slowing down though, we need people to help revive it, its admins (I being one of them) are alot friendlier to its Users, we dont push people around... and its based on the the earliest days of SE where im proud to say I was the first actual empire to post a web site lol

If you mean have Shrapnelgames include my avatars in their current batch of choices. I have no problem with that, in fact I think that would be a great idea. I'm not however going to pursue them to get this done. If per chance someone at Shrapnel agrees this is a good idea and catches this post, they can feel free to include my avatars with theirs. In fact I have polished and framed a few of their existing avatars already.

The b&w eye looks good, the colorized one seems to be missing the glare/reflection seen in the b&w one. I like both Versions, but would probably shrink the eye a bit more to fit it within the frame for the sake of consistancy.

..I'm going to try a few more escher stuff and see how it turns out. If any make it through the shrinking process, I'll post them.

Ok, would anyone care to help me and have some fun at the same time?

First, I want to separate the 'reserved' avatars (that I did specifically for individual people)and place them all at the beginning (top) of the file. All the avatars are numbered so if you see your avatar and want it 'reserved' (place it on a protected list and therefore not available for 'adoption') just let me know the number and I will include it in my next update.

I don't plane on making any new avatars (except by request) but I really would like to get my emporium in some kind of order.

Did I mention having fun while you helped me? here's the fun part, hidden within all those avatars is 1 (one) all new never before seen avatar. If you can find it and tell me what or who it is, your avatar will be placed in position #1 of the emporium.

Just follow the link in my sig or the link in the previous post!

You say your still taking request? I hope I'm not too late, I just picked this long horn skull thing because I'm from texas and it was one of the only ones I liked. If possible could you see what you could do with these images, Pirate Preview (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1046908568.zip) .

They are from a shipset I'm making. There are 6 in there they are in BMP format and will need to be resized(I'm not to confident in my photo editing skills, a recent Alpha Centauri custom faction fiasco has dashed my confidence. And I'd just put a picture up but I'm not entirely sure how to do that, how do you do that, I'm guessing you upload the pic in that special thread and then click this little image UBB code button right http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/confused.gif )

Ok, would anyone care to help me and have some fun at the same time?

First, I want to separate the 'reserved' avatars (that I did specifically for individual people)and place them all at the beginning (top) of the file. All the avatars are numbered so if you see your avatar and want it 'reserved' (place it on a protected list and therefore not available for 'adoption') just let me know the number and I will include it in my next update.

I don't plane on making any new avatars (except by request) but I really would like to get my emporium in some kind of order.

Did I mention having fun while you helped me? here's the fun part, hidden within all those avatars is 1 (one) all new never before seen avatar. If you can find it and tell me what or who it is, your avatar will be placed in position #1 of the emporium.
