Default Re: Globals not disappearing?

When a nation is vanquished by dominion-death, the units just disappear. They don't die as they would in a fight etc., so they will stay. It is a known bug, but I don't know whether a solutions is coming in the next patch.

Remaining units of a dead faction don't disappear until their province is invaded.

Remaining enchantments don't dissappear.

These are known and I think not necessarily bugs but just how it currently works. I'd like to see the remaining units fight as independents. The spells remaining seem interesting to me as remnants of the previous regime.

I think some kinds of global enchantments resist some other existing types, even before 5 are cast. What were the existing spells, and what were you trying to cast?

I thought the units of a nation preached to death will disappear after one turn. I have mostly played Dom:PPP recently, and would like to know whether the things have changed from what I descriped above...

They actually disappear on the same turn he died, but the scouting reports are apparently generated in a phase before the "He's dead, Jim" phase, so you still see him. If you login as the recently deceased player, however, he does not possess any units.

Default Globals not disappearing?

OK, this might be an known bug, but in several games - including the one I am playing now- global spells stick around even after the faction which cast them is vanquished.

Also, a few times when casting a spell when 4 (not 5) globals were active, I got the message 'your spell was overpowered by an existing spell'.

Anyone else notice this?

I am not sure which spell I tried to cast which was overpowered when there was an empty slot.
But is was definitely not already an existing Global.

With regards to spells sticking around after the faction has disappeared: defintely a bug, not a feature. Spells should disappear after the caster has died, no?
And most of the time they do.

In this case I actually killed the relevant pretender before wiping out the faction. No luck though.
