You'll probably have to go Ulm and take Production. I'm not experienced with the nation, though.

Of course, you could change your nation to something stealthier, like LA Ulm. Rangers are great, and those Vampire Counts can be nasty if you have a pretender to summon them early in the game.

You can be fairly stealthy with LA Pan if you take a bless strategy, my current favourite bless for them is W9N9, making their black centaurs have amazing speed, great defence, nice regen and of course kickass berserk(which combined with their naturally high stats and 50% quickness makes them very deadly) and, if you can fit some production into that bless its pretty nice on your hoplites too(above average defense, well armoured, decent speed and the awe+berserk combo is great for pinning enemies while your centaurs flank)
