What are the Mechanics Behind National Freespawns?

MA Ermor also seems to get some fresspawn, though nothing like late age. Can anyone shed light on this? Some folks suggest not taking death with MA Ermor, which would pretty much cancel out any freespawn. On the other hand, if it is just dominion, they would still get spawn.

Are you sure you that's not just Prince of Death's personal bodyguard, Saxon? I don't think MA Ermor gets any undead that isn't reanimated or summoned.
