Sorry, but there is not much detail I can provide at the moment. I don't have any saved games exhibiting the bug.

From my experience, it is very much as Forrest and Ballbarian describe. I give my army marching orders. The appropriate movement arrows show up on the map, and all the commander's dialogs (under the commander picture) say move. Yet, on the following turn the army is still sitting in place and everyone has a defend order.
This happened to Agartha (atul) fighting Jotunheim in Velusion's Perpetuality some time ago, too. I guess that Velusion keeps backups of his savegames that he could provide.

Suggestion for the movement bug:

I have noticed, in my games, that I would set a crafting mage to make a magic item. Next turn, it isn't made. Or cast a spell? Nope. Search? Nope again.

Drove me nuts.

--Until I figured out I was highlighted the leader, giving the command, then left-clicking another sprite to highlight it to give it a command. And missing the *actual sprite* ever. so. slightly.

Thus the game thinks I've left-clicked a province instead--ordering the mage I just told to craft (or whatever) to *move* there instead. If it can't reach that province, the old command is wiped, and the mage is set to hide/defend.

Very, very, very, VERY annoying.

If you left-click a sprite and miss the body (NOT the tile it's in, but the *body*) by sometimes even just a few pixels, the game doesn't recognize it. In order to keep this *extremely* annoying 'feature' from kicking in, I have taken to just clicking on the command, using the hover-and-give-orders option, or click-on-give-command-click-off the mage before moving onto the next commander.

Is it possible that's what is happening to you?

Hm, don't know whether Velusion keeps a big backlog of his games, but I think I encountered aforementioned bug (or its variation) twice during last few turns.

Here how it has went, I hope it doesn't get too complicated. Provinces are A, B and C, all neighbours and C with a fortress (C as in castle).

Try one, my armies are in A and B, Jotun's in C. I command attack from both A and B to C, Jotun attacks A from C with a single scout and has set the rest of his armies in C to patrol. End result: Army in A moves to C, scout from C to A (they miss each other), army in B mysteriously stays in B bar the scouts who've had a 'sneak' command instead of 'move'. End result, lots of grumbling from me for losing a third of my attack force due army in B not moving.

Act two several turns later, my army's sieging in C, Jotun's big guys are in B. I command an attack from C to B and a single commander to storm the castle, I assume Jot moves from B to C. End result: neither of the armies move, only commander tries to storm the castle, my scouts set to 'sneak' instead of 'move' have snuck to B.

Act three next turn, instead of moving I set my army to storm, Jot moves from B to C. Battles are resolved as they ought to be, so the connection from B to C isn't to blame.

I hope I got that right.

All in all, I think that there's some weird problem when doing pincer maneuveres and the opponent tries to do something to it.
