Info Special Poptypes - Page 2

Showing another interesting level of the game that the devs spent time on is never wasted. I had known that some special provinces were going to be part of the game but Ive never seen such an extensive list. Im not sure Ive even seen some of these.

But now we have a thread we can point to when someone asks if the game is broken because he ran into a Wyrm named Tiamat in an Independent province.

These are not poptypes as such, but special provinces built into the game and randomly distributed at game creation. Some of them can appear, more on a big map than on a small, but it would be a rare game indeed where they all did.

Thanks for the clarification, all. I agree with Gandalf that it's never a waste to get an insight into the Devs' twisted minds...

Now I know to look out for a Wyrm, a Cyclops, a Great Mother, and/or Pazuzu in an independent province. Oh my!

I was quite annoyed to take out the Earth Mother and Lord of Fertility with about 10 commanders not carrying any items, and I got none of their items. Bah!

I recently ran into the lich Katafagus for the first time. I did get his Crown, which is pretty nice. Summons mummies and give (IIRC) 50% CR & FR. Of course, it's also cursed and picked up by an independent commander. Unlike some of the other Summon undead items it doesn't give Undead leadership...
