Re: Regarding patch 3.15
So... any clues what "Gath" has to do with?

Re: Regarding patch 3.15
Thank you for putting out the 3.15 ASAP. I'm glad to see the scales bug squashed. With it around it's nearly impossible to play a 4-5 dom rainbow mage nation.
Also, can you give some insight on the increase in Ermor dom-kill?

Re: Regarding patch 3.15
Ermor Death Dominion in LA was operating at only around 10% of the strength it should have. So if it killed 100 pop per turn before, it now kills 1000.
As far as Gath, you guys are going to have to wait for the next patch. As far as I know, Kristoffer is doing work on it, but that's the extent of it.

Wow... I'm glad I'm not playing LA Ermor anymore. Sounds like a rather extreme change.

Re: Regarding patch 3.15
Bear in mind that means Ermor's dominion is more painful for others as well. The change effectively makes them more extreme than ever - even more likely to get mass ganked in MP before they can ruin half the map,.. and yet who would want to invade that?

Re: Regarding patch 3.15
hehe maybe there should be more incentive on invading Ermor later on? Now it's kill it quick or try it later and if you succeed you'll have about 1K pop in his whole empire

Re: Regarding patch 3.15
On the other hand, do you really want to get into an early war with Ermor, given that even if you do win, the territory you grab is worth much less than land you might have taken from someone else?

Re: Regarding patch 3.15
Gath was one of the five cities of the Philistines, a possibly Indo-European tribe which warred with the Hebrews. You might have heard of one of their national heroes, Goliath. (He'll probably be more effective in Dom 3, when you can forge him a black steel helmet and avoid those irritating sling stones to the head - although he's also a good example of the principle that heroes *can* be taken down by lucky shots from some untrained slinger fresh from the sheep pasture, just like happens annoyingly often in Dom3. )
They apparently had iron-working technology before many surrounding peoples did, although that may or may not be reflected in the Dom3 version.
