Hammers have no effect on soul contract?
I do not know if this is new in 3.20, but hammers are having no effects when forging soul contract and life long protection. They give the discount on other blood items just fine. Is it WAD or a unfortunate new bug?

I guess the free dude factory was too cheap with forge bonuses.

not much use for a hammer when writing a contract really 
(yeah I know there probably isn't that much use for it with hearts etc either)

I wish I'd been paying more attention to the blood expenditure.. I've wasted a hammer on a forger writing Contracts for about 7 turns not realising, and I had plenty of other uses for that hammer!

Hammer doesn't help to forge hearts as well. At least blood ones. |

After the patch v.3.20 I forged some blood stones and blood boosters (dagger and skull). The hammer gave the 25% discount as usual.

I remember having the bonus when forging black hearts with a hammer, but it was before v.3.20

Yep, with any but hearts and contracts.

IIRC, you never received a forge bonus for hearts. |

Yep. I checked some old saves of version 3.10 and there was indeed no bonus for hearts. |
