Not sure that's possible... I mean, casting rituals when equipping an item that drives you completely insane (IIRC the Gift of Kurgi just does that?).

Re: Question about horror marks
The Gift cannot be used indeed, and cannot be removed by wishing (since you can no longer wish for anything). Incidentally, can you get an Horror attack, or better? I only had Lesser Horrors attack me, and while there were quite a few of them, they weren't so dangerous.

Re: Question about horror marks
I had a Horror attack a mage who had previously worn a robe of the magi after about 10 turns or so.
On the other hand I have never had my carrier of the forbidden light attacked by any kind of Horror even after 30-odd turns.
Horror attacks seem VERY rare.

Re: Question about horror marks
i've almost never experienced a horror attack other than for the carrier of the forbidden light.
I have been attacked by a horror, though, for a tartarian caster wearing a robe and carrying the forbidden light who had just cast a 999 gem arcane nexus. Only seemed fair

Re: Question about horror marks
Set a R'lyehn Starspawn summoning in the Void Gate. You'll get to see plenty of Horrors.... and plenty of dead Starspawns.

Re: Question about horror marks
What about knight attacks from the artifact "the chalice" ??
I've held that item for many games on many turns... yet never have had any knights attack me despite what the description says.

Well, you can avoid #2 in the vast majority of cases by giving the Starspawn two astral gems and scripting "Returning" (requires a SS Starspawn or a Starspawn with a skullcap) or by casting "Ritual of Returning" beforehand. If you script "Returning", the Starspawn will always surive the attack except when it is also feebleminded, which does not happen often. (~5% chance for the Priestly Starspawn)

Re: Question about horror marks
Had a Horror (not Lesser Horror) attack a Black Servant carrying a Soul Contract once over about 15 turns, with 5 other Black Servants out there at the same time. So that makes a 1-2% chance per turn per Soul Contract (okay, so that's with a really high +-...).
