Default Citadel of Lore Masters, Citadel no longer?

If I recalled correctly the site "Citadel of Lore Masters" gift you a citadel of some sort in dom2, as it should.
Why is this changed to lab? I mean it's not a "Lab of Lore Masters"!

Damn it. In one game I found this site really early and recruited a number of Lore Masters there. Then I tried to build a castle to give them some shelter. At the right time before the fortified city will be finished, TWO NECROMANCERS leading 80 undead minions each assaulted the citadel, result in a loss of near 10 turns PLUS 4000+ gold!

I took Growth3 Luck3 and WHAT THE HELL IS THAT....OOOOOOOOOuch!!!!!!

The kitten was pretty sad about that =/
And yea, I'm going to hunt down all those evil necromancers. In my kingdom there's no place for undead!

The moral of this story is if you're hiring expensive indy mages in an unfortified province, script 'em to retreat.

Sorry to hear about your kitten.

On the very first 'End Turn' of the most recent SP game I played, I was shocked to start reading this "Unexpected Event in Sauromatia" message:

"Bogus and his band of merry adventurers ..."

But actually all he wanted was to free a couple of blood slaves. He didn't actually conquer my home province on the 1st turn.

"... decided to aid an old wise man whose daughter was held captive by your blood mages. The young girl and a couple of other blood slaves were liberated in a daring attack on your dungeon."

Actually, Citadel of the Loremasters did not give you a fort in Dom2 either, just the lab. You're probably mxing it up with The Crystal Citadel, which DOES give you a fort and one with a completely ridiculous defense value. As in "You wanted us to assault WHAT citadel?! Are you out of your mind?!" ridiculous.

That Bogus story is hilarious. One more reason why Dominions is not for the faint-hearted, it'd not be nice if random events sent players into cardiac arrest...
