Vine/Ivy critters: malformed stats?

Speaking of vinemen, etc. I've noticed that the druid ability to summon extra vine critters doesn't stack with the magic items that duplicate the ability.

Either it should, or it should be made clear that it doesn't.

Do druids have that ability. I thought it was animalists.

HoneyBadger is probably talking about the Master Druid pretenders ability to do so. If that is broken it should be fixed... but the truth of the matter is that if your pretender is sitting around summoning Vine Ogres then your empire is in a pretty sorry state

I tend to agree about the vine ogres, although if you can summon an exponential amount of them early enough in the game, it won't hurt anything.

Personally, I'd rather get extra Dark Vines.
